Students will travel back to the turn of the twentieth century and see Australia’s perspective and experience in one of the richest and disastrous periods of our time. Investigating the causes and events of both World War I and II from an Australian perspective, students will determine the lasting effects these battles had on our country and our people. As the twentieth century progresses, we will research the movement of people as a result of world events, seeing what brought people to the land down under. Students will ponder the experiences of Indigenous Australians across the 1900s as they fought for rights to be counted and heard in the modern landscape.
